A heavy rain lashes the capital’s pavings
Out of the carriages, we get on our horses
Serguei harangues us : we’re going to charge
Blindly, cruelly, swords in our hands and no quarter

I will be wrecked,

Of horsemen charging the demonstrators

The assault’s bloody, barbarian, inhuman, deadly
Stabs are given, guns are shot, stabs are given, guns are shot,
I get panicked at such fury then I settle down
At last I manage to get away from this bestial fight

I dunno if they are tears flowing on my face
I’m despondent, totally worn o-ut
That’s too much, my tired brain censored itself
It doesn’t want to face that reality.
